The death of top down storytelling

14/03/2016

Remember the halcyon days of information dissemination via TV, radio, and print? Public relations was easy. Long lunches with friendly journalists. Large corporations able to control their messaging by writing large cheques to a few well-placed agencies.

Then the internet happened.

For corporations and politicians this became something of an inconvenience. A seismic disruption to business as usual. Or so you would think…

The truth is for many organisations, corporate and political, there is tacit agreement that the world has changed but HOW they tell their stories, in many cases simply has not. Top down storytelling is no longer relevant for a generation that has grown up in the connected world. We made this animation to try and get across our message about why ‘old school’ methods of story dissemination no longer works!
